BLADE2VALUE Germany
Wind Turbine Blade Recycling Project · Prignitz, Brandenburg
A new approach to the circular economy of wind energy — ecological recycling, maximum utilisation of valuable output streams and a long-term Zero-Residue ambition.
From end-of-life challenge to circular infrastructure.
With BLADE2VALUE Germany, Albaretos GmbH is developing a wind turbine blade recycling project in Prignitz / Brandenburg based on a new technology designed for Zero-Residue recycling.
The concept is intended to recover and utilise valuable material and energy streams instead of treating end-of-life blades as a simple disposal problem. Technical details of the recycling technology are not publicly disclosed at this stage in order to protect commercial and intellectual-property interests.
Ecological recycling
Development of an environmentally focused recycling route for end-of-life wind turbine blades.
Maximum output utilisation
Valuable material and energy streams generated through the process are intended to be recovered and returned to productive use.
Zero-Residue ambition
The long-term objective is to utilise recoverable output streams as completely as technically and commercially achievable.
Designed to scale with the wind industry.
The first project is being developed for Prignitz / Brandenburg, a region with an established wind-energy base and long-term repowering potential. The planned facility is designed for a processing capacity in the thousands of tonnes of wind turbine blade material per year, with the potential for later expansion into a broader regional circular-economy platform.
Independent validation before scale-up.
The development programme includes site evaluation, feedstock strategy, regulatory coordination, industrial partnerships and independent technical validation of representative blade material and relevant process outputs. The objective is to create an evidence-based foundation for permitting, commercial structuring and future investment decisions.
Site & permitting
Location screening and early coordination of the applicable German regulatory pathway.
Feedstock strategy
Development of long-term material flows from repowering, dismantling and related industry partners.
Technical validation
Independent testing and documentation of representative input and output materials as the project advances.
Industrial utilisation
Identification of credible uses and offtake pathways for recoverable material and energy streams.
From renewable energy to a circular future.
Albaretos is working to turn an end-of-life challenge of the wind industry into a scalable industrial solution. Project information is indicative and remains subject to technical validation, permitting, commercial agreements and investment decisions.
